The venue for the tearfund lunch had to be changed at very short notice. It will be held at the home of Pat & Brian Winsley, Paddocks End, West Street.

As a rule, the family (united) service in Childrey, when held at the Methodist chapel, is always 11am. It is 10am when at St Mary's. This month the 5th (like last month the 1st) the service time in the Childrey Ridgeway box says 10 am, whiolst the Methodist list is 11am.

As with most villages these day, the majority of people in the village now work and shop outside the village. However, we are very lucky to have kept our pub, a garage and the village shop. Other 'home industries' are also now flourishing in Childrey.
